You make a good argument for ground based internet connections like cable and DSL but I really believe that it will be broadband satellite internet companies that achieve the higher speeds in the years to come. As more and more of our world becomes wireless we rely more and more on satellites to deliver our data whether that be for computers or for TV. This will push satellite technology to evolve faster than cable and DSL and therefore I’ll believe the better speeds and more reliable services will be found in the satellite companies. I don’t actually use a satellite connection at home (yet) but plan to soon. It’ll be an interesting future. I’m hoping that satellite ISP’s can give the cable companies some serious competition. We shall see.
